Christian Mautner
Who I am
I was born in the early seventies in Upper Austria, grew up in a really
small town named Vorderweißenbach, had my secondary
education at Stiftsgymnasium
Wilhering. Then I moved to Vienna to
study computer science at Technische Universität, from which I
graduated in 1996.
I have been programming FPGAs for Frequentis in Vienna for a couple of years, so if you fly over Austria chances are the communication between pilot and flight control might pass some of my FPGAs. Scared?
From 2001 to mid-2006 I have been holding the position of a Staff IC Design Engineer at IDT Canada. We built the world's best content inspection engines, formerly known as classification processors.
Currently I am a Senior Design Engineer at austriamicrosystems in Unterpremstätten.
I am a passionate advocate of free software. I'm registered Linux user number 270 (since September 1993).
I am living with my wife Selma, our sons Benedikt and Dominik, and our dog Dana in Fernitz near Graz, Austria.
