I'm a Weimaraner

Dana

Who I am
I am a short-haired Weimaraner. My official name is Diana von der Laaer Ebene. I was born April 19 1998 as the last puppy of Cora von der Sonnleitenhöhe. In the first weeks of my life, Selma and Christian often visited me at my former home, until June, when they came and took me to Perchtoldsdorf.

Then I have been living with them in Perchtoldsdorf, in the south of Vienna. In January 2001 they have taken me with them to Canada, and where I have been living with them in Ottawa for five and a half years. Now we're living in Fernitz near Graz.

What I like most is eating and sleeping, hiking and hunting. I didn't like swimming very much, but now I do, especially during the hot summers here.

What I do
I am actually a hunting dog, my profession is to help Selma find game and deer. Unfortunately we haven't had many opportunities lately. One of the major surrogate pastimes (beside of extensive walks and chasing toys) is doing Agility.

Don't call me a film starlet! I played the dog of Karl V in a TV and cinema ad for an exhibition in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. I have also been filmed by a team in Ottawa, but we don't know whether this has ever been used.

You can also find pictures of me in the book "Hunde - die besseren Jäger" by Andreas Gass (Österreichischer Jagd- und Fischereiverlag).

What you can find here.
Pictures, mostly. Using the links on the left hand side you can access a lot of photos of mine.
