Current Research
I am currently working as a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Christian Sturmbauer at the University of Graz, Austria. The MOLARCH project explores patterns of genomic differentiation in endemic species radiations of ancient lakes.
Past Research

From 1991 to 1997 I studied Biology at the University of Vienna. Part of my master's thesis "Populationsgenetische Analyse beim Eurasischen Fischotter (Lutra lutra L., 1758) in Mitteleuropa: eine Grundlage fuer Schutz- und Erhaltungsmassnahmen " has been published in Effenberger, S. Suchentrunk, F. (1999): RFLP analysis of the mitochondrial DNA of otters (Lutra lutra) from Europe - implications for conservation of a flagship species. Biological Conservation. 90, p. 229-234.
